HOTEL SOPRON REFURBISHMENT
As the only major four-star hotel in Sopron, we consider it important to constantly expand the range of our services and improve our service quality. For this reason, a short- and medium-term investment strategy has been developed, which you can read below.
As from 2017, Hotel Sopron **** has been welcoming its guests with Premium Rooms already on two floors. The 35th anniversary year 2018 started with further developments: our new, special wellness section with city panorama on the 3rd floor is scheduled to open this autumn. In 2019, the Standard rooms on the third floor of our hotel were renovated, in summer our renovated terrace and a new a'la carte restaurant welcome our guests. 2020 was also a year of success! We have created a wonderful suite, an outdoor pool and a conference room to suit all needs.

Developments in 2020
Privilege Suite
Around 50 m2, consisting of a living room, a bedroom, a walk-in closet and a bathroom.
With exclusive interior, individually designed furniture, Spanish coverings.
Our goal is to deliver a lasting experience that has torn you out of the hustle and bustle of every day. Everyone is special to us, but they can feel even more special in this suite.
Outdoor pool
The heated garden swimming pool with stretched water surface was handed over in August 2020, which awaits visitors from June to September next year.
Special experience elements help to relax: back and neck massage and hydro foot massage. The swimming pool of Hotel Sopron is an ideal place to experience social life, an unmissable time with family and friends. Fantastic relaxation, stress-relieving, fabulously refreshing.
Conference rooms
Renovated conference room and event venue.
After a long wait, to everyone's delight, we managed to create one of the most high-quality event venues in Western Hungary, a unique conference room. The conference room is air-conditioned, with natural light, 190 m2, which can be divided into two smaller rooms, each of 95 m2. It has 3 levels of light and sound control: in performance, projection and full brightness modes. Projectors and screens are built-in and can be controlled from a tablet. It is excellent for conferences, events, cultural events, shows, weddings.
Unlimited fun for kids
Our renewed Fairy Garden is our children's playground and outdoor playground.
We are waiting for the little ones in a new location, in a larger area, with a modern, even safer covering, with creative toys.
Developments in 2019
In 2019, vinyl flooring was laid in the Standard Rooms on the third floor of the hotel, and the corridor was decorated with large format pictures taken by photographers of Sopron, similarly as on the first and second floor.
Our terrace will also be renewed in the summer: it will be covered with a pergola thereby opening a new restaurant area for our guests.
Developments in 2018
The developments have continued in 2018: in the 35th anniversary year of the hotel, we have started to build a new and unique wellness area with city panorama, which is expected to open in the autumn.
Developments in 2017
In the first phase of the development in 2017, the hallways and rooms were re-designed in Premium style in two floors.
The terrace has also been given a new look: under the new name ProsEat, it offers refreshing drinks and grilled meats in the summer.
In addition to the new design, we consider the quality improvement to be equally important: from 2017, the hotel has a new chef who ensures that our dishes meet the modern international gastronomic trends both in taste and serving.
Previous developments
The developments started in 2010 and 2012 with the partial renewal of the Standard Rooms and the complete renewal of the Premium Rooms. In the Standard Rooms, the beds and the curtains were changed and a new carpet was laid.
The Premium Style and Premium View Double Rooms have been completely renewed and designed according to a new and unique design in the colors magenta and green-orange. In addition, some of our family rooms have been refurbished.
Premium View rooms are modern, refurbished, 21 m2 rooms with air-conditioning, balcony and a wonderful view over the historic downtown. Premium room amenities include also a laptop-size safe and a kettle with tea and coffee.
Premium Style rooms are modern and spacious double rooms with youthful decoration and a comfortable desk. All rooms are air-conditioned and with a shower. For more comfort, the rooms have also a laptop-size safe as well as a kettle with tea and coffee.
DEVELOPMENTS
Our restaurant awaits our guests with a renewed exterior and the usual high quality!
During the first large-scale renovation of 2022, our hotel's restaurant received quality new pavements, the main consideration when choosing them was to achieve a clear and sophisticated overall picture. The floor tiles have been replaced with vinyl cladding, and the covers of the restaurant chairs add beige color to the overall picture. The light from the huge windows makes the whole restaurant clear, in front of which you can ensure shading with curtains that are perfectly suited to the color scheme.
The hotel's reception and bar have been renovated:
The second major refurbishment of 2022 has been completed, with the complete refurbishment of the ground floor of the hotel, the reception and the bar. The refurbishment was designed with natural colours in mind. The renewed light grey flooring makes the lobby much brighter and more welcoming. The reception desk and the wall behind it have been given a natural wood finish, giving the lobby a pleasant natural feel. By opening up a partition wall, we have created a huge space that provides room for all our guests to relax from the main entrance to our restaurant.
The bar area has also been refurbished to match the new flooring. Thanks to the renovations, guests arriving at our hotel will find a comfortable, modern, yet natural space, giving them a significantly positive first impression.
