Cave Theater programs 2018

The Cave Theater in Fertőrákos welcomes its audience with a variety of interesting programs in summer 2018, too. The season opens with the musical Cinderella of the Experidance Group and continues with a joint concert of Richard Bona and the Cuban Mandekan Cubano Group. Another music icon Billy Cobham will come next who will be followed by one the most popular shows of Experidance entitled The Gypsies of Nagyida (choreographer: Sándor Román). The last show in June will be a Hungarian dance show entitled Summer dance in pollen.

July will commence in the spirit of musical with a concert of the Hungarian operetta singer Feke Pál. After that follows a coproduction of the National Theaters of Győr and Szeged: the Barber of Seville. In mid-July, the State Opera of Kassa will present Jiri Menzel’s new interpretation of Falstaff. July will close with 8 performances of the musical SinSingSing starring both international and Hungarian musical singers.

The Budapest theater Játékszín will present two comedies in August with several stars in the cast. They will be followed by the Hungarian composer Imre Kálmán’s operetta The Duchess of Chicago in the interpretation of the Budapest Operetta Theater. In mid-August the dance group Experidance will take leave with their new “Sissi” performance entitled The queen, the count and the gypsy girl, then, the Sopron Petőfi Theater will deliver two German-language performances: the operettas Eine Nacht in Venedig and the Csárdás Princess. This time the season will close with a joint concert of the Hungarian singers Demjén Ferenc and Charlie.
